It's okay to pivot! Just do it!

The reason a lot of us get stuck and stay stuck, is because we have ingrained in us the notion that if we start something, we need to finish it.

But, you know what? It's okay to change your mind! Seriously.

Our parents teach us that we shouldn't give up when we start something. I don't see it that way.

Okay, if you started studying for your driver's test, maybe you can stick it through to get your driver's license. But what if you started studying something particular in university and found out that it's just not for you?

It's TOTALLY okay to change your mind and do something else. You don't always have to have it all figured out.

Some people come into this world and seem to have it all figured out. Maybe they are picking up where they left off in another life, who knows? LOL

A lot of us, though... don't have it figured out. In fact, I didn't realize I wanted to be a freelancer until I was 53 years old. Many women my age are still in their corporate 9-5 jobs and are expecting their first grandchildren. Not that I don't want grandchildren. ;-)

BUT, I think it's becoming a trend for women 40+ to want to build their own businesses and impact the world. We don't want to depend on anyone else for security and happiness.

Trust me, it's never too late. That doesn't mean it's easy. I had to figure many things out by myself and was close to giving up. But something was driving me, telling me that I could do this and so I picked myself up every time and kept going.

I must have spent close to $40K in the past 3 years, attending training, masterminds, and hiring coaches, and marketing events. The best decision I ever made was hiring coaches. Because you now what?

They can give you support to get you to your goal much faster with less stress. Because they've BEEN THERE. They've gone through those struggles and it took them years of trial and error. So you can learn what took them 5-10 years to learn in maybe 6 months. Mind-blowing, isn't it?

That's why you should read books. As many as you can. Because these authors put all the experience and skills they've had into something you can learn within a few hours or days.

Hiring a coach is GOLD I tell you! They give you clarity, they give you systems and processes, they tell you exactly how you can run your business, smoothly.

With less hassle and less stress.

Having coaches inspired me so much. That and the fact that I was constantly being hit up on social media to help others led me to the epiphany.... This is my calling. Like, I want to be a coach. So, I became one.

Look, this year I've been to 3 countries (Portugal, Egypt and England) and plan to visit Croatia and Bali very soon. I may even consider Thailand at the end of the year... still contemplating.

I could NEVER have done or afforded this in my 9-5 job at the university!

Vacation time was 30 days at the university, sure, but I also just didn't have the funds. And couldn't just pick up and go to a different country every time I wanted to.

Now, I have the freedom, to pack up my laptop and hit the road to virtually anywhere and just work and play from another country. I mean, how awesome is that?

I still cannot believe this is my life and I'm so grateful to be able to do what I want, when I want and with whomever clients I want.
